Nothing But a Replacement

The Story

Thurston marries Amelia solely for her resemblance to his late wife Eleanor, but she conspires with her ex Damon to steal his fortune. Her scheme collapses when she removes the dimples that mimic Eleanor, leading to a divorce and her financial ruin. Thurston later discovers Eleanor is alive, having survived a blast as an amnesiac named Nora. When Amelia and Damon fail to kidnap her, Amelia faces execution. The drama concludes with Thurston marrying the recovered Eleanor.
