Nova: Haunted Hinterlands: All Episodes

The Story

A rhythmic thumping wakes a student from sleep deep inside a dormitory. Assuming the noise comes from the door, the sleeper remains half conscious. Chilling clarity soon shatters this assumption as the source is identified. The tapping originates from the balcony window, not the entrance. The realization hits hard because the room sits on the sixth floor. The mystery deepens as the origin of the sound defies logic. No explanation is offered for how someone could tap on a window six stories high. The suspense builds around this impossible occurrence, leaving the origin of the noise entirely unknown and unexplained.
