The Story

Scientist Sydney Long awakens in the past as the new bride of General Jake, planning to save money and exit for his true love, the ninth wife. On their wedding night, Jake suddenly hears her inner voice questioning the identity of this ninth wife. Confused, he asks if his father has eight wives, wondering who this mystery ninth person is. The general is puzzled by the strange mental intrusion, while Sydney remains unaware that her secret plan has just been exposed to the very man she intends to leave.
