Reborn: Romance in the Apocalypse

The Story

Zombie roars echo as Oliver drags his fiancée onto a rescue vehicle, securing the final seat for her while his first love, Lina, is torn apart by the undead. The woman reaches the survivor base safely, but Oliver proceeds with the marriage only to make her suffer, convinced she is responsible for Lina’s death. For five years, he hates her, treating her life as worse than a stray dog scavenging for food in the streets. On the day their divorce is finalized, he kidnaps her, drags her into the wilderness, wraps his fingers around her throat, and throws them both into the undead swarm. She opens her eyes again, reborn on the day the apocalypse began. The rescue team shouts impatiently that they have room for one more person. She turns to Oliver and watches him hesitate. With a quiet smile, she steps back and lets someone else have the last seat.
