Brenton sacrifices his life to shield his bastard brother, Devlin, after the latter crashes a dragon into the castle and kills the King. Devlin arranges a harsher sentence for Brenton, executing him with dragonfire. Instead of dying, Brenton is sent months into the past. Knowing Devlin’s true nature, he resolves to take control and seek revenge.
