The Story

Jax Carter carries the heavy burden of his lineage, the illegitimate child of a disreputable cleaner and the head of a prominent fight gym. He trains in secrecy under three outlaw coaches, preparing for his entry into The Crucible, an elite MMA proving ground that comes along only once in a generation. His preparation includes thousands of pounds of hidden resistance training, while he simultaneously bears the weight of betrayal and shame.
