The Story

Esther buries her abusive husband Carl in the backyard after he dies during a violent outburst on their fifth anniversary. Five years of marriage defined by betrayal and physical violence end with the tragic death of their daughter. The next morning, Carl reappears, defying the grave. He no longer behaves like the man Esther buried. Instead, he acts tender and gentle, mirroring the way he was when they first fell in love. The resurrected Carl is no longer the abuser.
