The Story

Cora Bowers, a Harvard MBA graduate, needs a job immediately to support her parents. While waiting for an interview, she unexpectedly lands a position as the personal assistant to Collin Lauder, a demanding New York bachelor. Collin dates models and actresses but rejects genuine intimacy, viewing his staff as extensions of his brand. He finds Cora’s plain appearance, lack of makeup, and modest wardrobe unacceptable, blaming her for damaging his image. He demands she quit, preferring his long-time assistant. Cora strikes a deal with an emerging designer to model in exchange for keeping the outfits. Her transformation improves Collin’s perception of her, sparking his desire to pursue the new it girl on the modeling scene. He plans to test her out before committing to a relationship. The situation reaches a breaking point when he discovers that the gorgeous model Shea is actually Cora, working under her middle name.
