Signed, Sealed, Severed

The Story

Charlotte accidentally claims an eighty million dollar prize, but her family immediately coerces her into transferring all five properties and assets to her younger brother. After signing away her wealth, she limits her parental support to basic needs and retreats into silence. Her brother Charles soon faces total business collapse, losing everything he inherited. Desperate, he and his family harass Charlotte for financial help. She responds by hiring a lawyer to draft a formal agreement that strictly separates her legal obligations from Charles's personal debts. When Charles sells every remaining house and still cannot repay his massive liabilities, he divorces Mabel and takes odd jobs to survive. Charlotte provides him only with a basic rental home for shelter. Freed from her family's control, she settles into a steady relationship with sincere Andrew. She maintains proper distance from her troubled relatives, avoiding blind compromises, and finally enjoys a peaceful, carefree, and fulfilling life.
