A master builder loses his job after warning about a tsunami, only to face blame when a student falsifies data and a bridge collapses. The sabotage is eventually exposed, prompting the master to return to the site. He abandons algorithms in favor of his own senses, rebuilding the structure with his ears, his hands, and his steel.
