Savannah heads to Hadleyburg to secure funds for her grandmother's medical care from her estranged father. During the journey, she rescues Hudson, the city's ruthless mafia boss, from a severe ambush. Upon reaching his territory, Hudson immediately claims her as his own. He does so relentlessly and publicly, displaying an obsession that instills fear in everyone around them.
