Spring at Fifty

The Story

Susan Caldwell faces a bleak existence after her son sells her for one hundred thousand dollars to a young man. In her darkest moment, Robert Lockwood intervenes, though she initially mistakes him for a regular site worker. He recognizes her as the woman who saved his life with wontons twenty years earlier. To protect her from the chaos, he marries her instantly while posing as a laborer, taking her away from her family. Later, dressed elegantly at a family banquet, she suffers humiliation when her own son pushes her down. Suddenly, Robert arrives with immense power, revealing himself as the CEO of Lockwood Group. His sudden entrance stuns everyone who bullied her. At fifty, her life finally enters its true spring.
