Step Back! That Homeless Man Is Not to be Messed with

The Story

Vince Astor stands before the world as the newly crowned Godfather of America, heir to a twenty billion nine hundred million dollar fortune, yet he remains invisible in his ragged clothes. When Helen Stark, the CEO he rescued two years prior, proposes to him on the street, he keeps his identity hidden. Dressed as a beggar, he follows her home and endures the scorn of her family, who force her into a marriage with Philip West. His immense power then reveals itself in stages. A bank president drops to his knees, a one billion dollar bid arrives, and an underboss kisses his ring. Despite the forced alliance and the public humiliation, Helen chooses Vince, recognizing the man he truly is beneath the disguise.
