The Story

Anita Lowen returns from Africa to face a hostile welcome from her father’s fiancée, Serena. The secretary attempts to impress the heiress by presenting a valuable virus sample at the airport, aiming to secure a place in the Lowen family. A sudden accident destroys the precious gift when Anita stops Serena’s car to save a stranger. Serena, unaware that the woman she confronts is Victor Lowen’s daughter, reacts with extreme cruelty. She bullies and humiliates Anita, nearly disfiguring her in a fit of rage. In a shocking escalation, Serena injects the remaining virus directly into Anita’s body. This act of aggression targets the very person Serena believes is a stranger. The secretary’s ignorance of Anita’s true identity leads to a devastating consequence.
