Stop! The Groom is Running Away!

The Story

Ivy stands alone at the altar, humiliated before family and friends after wealthy heir Byron abandons their wedding day to escape his obligations. She had agreed to marry him in place of her stepsister solely to cover her father's mounting medical bills. Once the ceremony concludes, the couple establishes three strict rules, explicitly agreeing that they will never allow romance to develop between them. This contractual arrangement persists until Byron finally breaks character, declaring the entire agreement nonsense. He admits that he has already fallen in love with her. Byron then asks directly if Ivy feels the same way about him.
