Swallow Me Whole
The Story
Ashton Levine is the best friend’s brother, a man who remains strictly off-limits until a reckless night under a bar table shatters every established boundary. The novel by Gemma James, published by Tapas Entertainment and Radish, explores the urgent need to understand how to satisfy a guy. Simple rules govern their new dynamic as Ashton acts as a sex tutor, explicitly forbidding kissing, sex, and falling in love. However, the more the narrator uses her body in the name of experimentation, the more she realizes that just being friends is no longer enough. The initial desire for satisfaction evolves into a deeper longing, raising the question of whether it is too much to want everything with him. This shift highlights the conflict between maintaining strict boundaries and the growing realization that casual friendship cannot contain the intensity of their connection.
