The AC Went Out That Summer

The Story

Becca’s intense hatred for stepbrother Samir has defined her existence for two years. She holds him responsible for stealing her family, her home, and the life she once knew. A brutal heatwave suddenly knocks out the air conditioning, trapping the two of them alone in a house that is far too hot and far too small. While Samir works to repair the broken unit, their lingering resentment slowly shifts into lingering touches. The boundary between hate and desire begins to dissolve under the oppressive heat. Becca is forced to confront a painful truth she has long suppressed. The man she considers forbidden may actually be the only one she cannot resist.
