The Apple of His Eye

The Story

Violet severs ties with Luke to spare him the weight of her family’s sudden bankruptcy. Seven years pass, transforming the once impoverished man into the commanding CEO of Skyline Group. When Violet takes a sales manager role there, their paths collide again. Luke discovers she has a son named Jacob, but she hides the truth that he is the father. Mistaking Jacob for the child of one of Violet’s many business clients, Luke despises her and makes her work life miserable while ignoring his own lingering feelings. At the same time, Violet endures bullying and harassment from Luke’s jealous fiancée, Samara, while struggling to provide a stable life for her son. Luke remains blind to the real reason behind their breakup and continues to misjudge her character. He fails to recognize his son’s true origins or the depth of the misunderstanding that has divided them for years.
