The Story

Pastry shop owner Chloe finds herself trapped by thugs in the dead of night until muscular Kane intervenes to save her. His shy demeanor and mention of red bean soup lead Chloe to mistake him for a dessert apprentice, prompting her to hire him immediately. In reality, Kane serves as a bodyguard sent by the underworld to ensure her safety. Despite his clumsiness, he proves gifted at baking delicious cakes. Their connection strengthens through daily meals, a blackout hug, and playful moments with strawberry aprons. When Chloe is kidnapped, Kane reveals his true identity and rescues her while covered in blood. Unfazed, she asks him to teach her combat. After her father suffers an attack, Chloe transforms from a soft sweetheart into a mafia queen. She leads Kane in taking down mastermind Vincent and converting the gang into a dessert chain. Kane eventually upgrades his role from bodyguard to boyfriend. Together, they run the pastry shop and navigate their lives side by side.
