The Boy I Hate

The Story

Samantha Smiles faces an unwanted companion for her long drive from Los Angeles to New York. Her boyfriend abruptly cancels their road trip to her best friend's wedding, leaving her forced to travel with the one person she has spent five years trying to forget. Tristan Montgomery, her best friend's older brother, shared a secret summer night with her and claimed all her firsts. Now, the two must share the vehicle for the entire journey. Samantha feels torn between her loyalty to her friend and her resurfacing feelings for Tristan. These emotions may even be mutual. The confined space forces her to confront a difficult choice. She must decide whether to continue living for others or finally do something for herself. The drive becomes a test of her resolve as old memories collide with present reality.
