The Card Shark's Revenge

The Story

Li Shuo arrives at Jiang Li’s home to propose, only to face immediate humiliation. Her family banishes him to the kitchen while forcing his father to the gambling table, where the elder loses 180,000 yuan intended for their wedding. Desperate, Li Shuo begs Jiang Li’s brother, Jiang Wei, for the money back, even offering an additional 10,000 yuan. Jiang Wei refuses and mocks him, while his girlfriend joins in the attack. Li Shuo finally realizes the entire event was a trap designed to rob them. Pushed beyond his limit, he stops pleading and takes a seat at the table. He wagers 1,000 yuan, turning the tables on his hosts and beginning his counterattack against the family that sought to destroy him.
