The Dragon Crowned Her

The Story

Seraphine expects the ancient Dragon Hall to validate her royal lineage, but the structure remains silent during her coronation. Instead, the power awakens when Elara, a lowly servant, kneels to scrub the stained floor. The black stone reacts to her touch, igniting dragon marks beneath her palm and causing the pillars to answer. The dragon chooses the girl everyone ignores, revealing an impossible truth: Seraphine’s claim may be a lie, while Elara is the rightful queen erased from history. Queen Regent Morwen fights to bury this secret, and Seraphine clings to a throne that was never truly hers. Yet the dragon keeps following Elara. The old laws continue opening for her, and the true crown, sealed away for generations, begins to wake. Elara was born beneath their feet, but the dragon crowned her.
