The Story

Sera’s death on the back of a turned mount leaves her spirit to awaken in the body of orphan Shika. The girl quickly realizes that Bren’s dragon, Meibao, is a rare Obsidian Doom hatchling. Ella and Kane pressure Shika into a dangerous race wager, pushing her to guide Meibao to new records and catch Freya’s attention. When Bren suffers an injury, Shika takes the reins and secures a victory. The peace shatters as Shadowtide invades, forcing Shika to defeat Reck and Roga. House Storm imprisons Meibao, but Shika breaks him free. Freya finally acknowledges her skill and makes her a rider.
