The Dragon’s Only Egg

The Story

Three-year-old Layla faces daily isolation in a remote cabin, a refuge chosen years ago by Dragon Lord Viktor to shield her from court judgment after his betrayal. Her gentle nature is marked by mixed heritage, but a sudden misunderstanding triggers her innate flight ability. Wind carries the terrified child directly into Viktor's private chamber. There, the stunned lord confronts the daughter he once protected by rejection. Cold duty wars within him against unexpected paternal stirrings as he looks upon the resilient girl. Their fateful encounter ignites a journey of self-worth for Layla and a path to redemption for Viktor. Whispers of the past and societal bias surround them, yet their fragile connection emerges as a beacon of healing. Empathy begins to transform a legacy born of deceit into one of unity and strength.
