The Embroiderer's Revenge

The Story

Shen Qingzi masters double-sided, two-color embroidery with a skill that eclipses Lady Lin. Jealousy drives Lady Lin to conspire with Zhu Dehai, who falsely accuses her of stealing thread. They tear up her family's manual, ruin her reputation, and force her away. A decade passes before she crafts a unique screen for the Empress Dowager's birthday celebration. The Emperor and Empress Dowager are stunned by her work. She exposes the old plot against her, leading to the punishment of both Lady Lin and Zhu Dehai. Despite the opportunity, she refuses the post of director at the imperial embroidery bureau. She returns home to establish a school for girls.
