The Story

Dante’s death from illness leaves the Moretti family without its patriarch, thrusting his younger brother Vincent into the role of Godfather. The funeral becomes a stage for public chaos when Jack, son of a wealthy tycoon, arrives to cause a disturbance. He smashes Dante’s ashes and makes lewd advances toward the widowed Sophia. Vincent responds with immediate, brutal force. He marches in beneath black umbrellas, flanked by hundreds of cloaked men who block the streets. In a single decisive act, Vincent snaps Jack’s wrist on the spot. This violent display cements his new authority over the family and its rivals.
