The King of the Violent Neighborhood

The Story

Horace Vance rules the underworld as the Quartermaster, yet he hides behind a street BBQ stand in a crime-ridden ghetto. Local thugs demand street tax, prompting gangs and loyal enforcers to gather for a fight, but Horace keeps his power concealed to protect his college-graduate son Beau. He seeks a normal, quiet life for the young man. Tony Crowe, a spoiled heir, ignores the danger and targets Beau. He steals Beau’s hard-built project, betrays and humiliates his lover, and abducts both Beau and his close friend Nora. Tony tortures the captives with homemade explosives and forces a deadly revolver standoff. He calls Horace to extort money. Enraged by these acts, Horace races to rescue his son. He finally exposes his world-famous alter ego to everyone, ending the deception that kept his true identity safe from the neighborhood’s constant threats.
