The Story

Childhood sweethearts Seo-yeon and Do-yun face a devastating betrayal when Su-ah, a rival’s daughter, lies about saving Do-yun’s life. This deception drives Do-yun away, leading him to blame Seo-yeon as her family nears bankruptcy. Though Do-yun attempts to save them, he takes his own life, leaving a note expressing a wish to join Su-ah in the next life. Grief-stricken, Seo-yeon follows him in death. She suddenly awakens on the day Do-yun proposed to Su-ah. Instead of fighting, Seo-yeon lets everything go and decides to take over the Myanmar business herself. Do-yun marries Su-ah as he desires, but he remains haunted by inexplicable anxiety and a profound sense of emptiness.
