The Mechanic I Married Owns Manhattan

The Story

Clara Bennett escapes her controlling ex-husband Derek, dragging five-year-old Lily into a rainy night. When their car breaks down in a small town, they meet mechanic Mason Hale. He offers them shelter, promising nobody will take them back that evening. Mistaking him for a humble local worker, Clara agrees to a temporary marriage with Mason. The arrangement serves a critical purpose, giving her the legal standing needed to fight for custody of her daughter.
