The Story

Winnie runs a peculiar shop where memories are traded for currency. Cade enters with the intent to shut her operation down, unaware of the deep history binding them. Seven years prior, they were lovers, but Winnie forced him to sign a contract surrendering all recollections of her to protect him from the Law. Now, she negotiates a clause preserving the possibility of a future encounter. The cost is severe: she restores his memories only to erase him from her own mind. They brush past each other in the shop, their minds holding nothing yet their bodies recognizing the familiar presence. This creates an endless, unbroken cycle of loss and recognition, trapping them in a loop where the past resurfaces only to vanish again.
