The Milk Debt
The Story
Five-year-old Nora Bancroft storms into Sterling Manor during a violent downpour, demanding three years of unpaid milk money from Grant Ellsworth. A faded receipt bearing his signature reveals he is her biological father, a fact DNA testing confirms. Grant’s sister-in-law Vivienne and other relatives view the child as a threat to their fortune. They forge financial records and smear Nora’s mother Lena as a gold-digger. Nora hides a micro-recorder inside her stuffed bunny containing Lena’s desperate testimony. Grant and his team uncover that Lena was drugged, imprisoned, and left for dead at Mistwood Sanitarium. The conspiracy implicates Grant’s brother Raymond and father Conrad. Guided by Nora’s courage and Lena’s recorded voice, Grant races to find his wife before her captors silence her. The villains are exposed and brought to justice. Grant reunites with Lena, proposes marriage, and welcomes his new family home.
