The Story

Lottie survives Reginald’s brutal murder of his wife by feigning muteness. Years later, she falls in love with her rescuer Julian, but her mother separates them. When her family’s fortunes collapse, Lottie seeks Julian out, only to discover that Natalie has stolen her identity. To escape Reginald, she marries Julian.
