The Phoenix Was Never Weak

The Story

Aelia returns to life at the sacred beast contract ceremony, remembering the murder Elara committed in their previous existence. While Elara eagerly claims the obsidian dragon, convinced it guarantees power, Aelia calmly selects the wounded phoenix that the crowd ridicules. She knows the dragon Draven is a parasite that devours its contractor’s magic, whereas the phoenix holds hidden strength. As Elara’s energy fades due to the stolen beast, Aelia tends to the broken creature, earning his trust. She uncovers his true identity as Ignis, an ancient immortal phoenix. When Draven and Elara attempt to seize Aelia’s magic and fate once more, Ignis awakens in full fire. The phoenix demonstrates that he was never weak, exposing the truth behind his apparent fragility and the danger lurking within the dragon.
