The Story

Katherine’s cruel stepmother forces the heiress into a marriage with her cheating nephew in 1892 New York. A mysterious system then transforms every lie spoken against her into literal truth. Her tormentors die one by one from their own empty promises, leaving Katherine as a young and beautiful widow. Though she grieves for her husband, she is also very, very rich.
