The Power Shift

The Story

Lorelei McCall trades her extreme sports fame for a quiet life as General Lowell Walker’s wife, sacrificing her identity for a political alliance. Five years of being reduced to logistics and scenery drive her to sign divorce papers, waiving all rights before she discovers Lowell celebrating Claire’s birthday. She abandons Washington, relocating to Nepal to launch an adventure school under her own name. Six years later, Lowell’s highland training intersects with her new world. He attempts to explain his actions and win her back, but Claire’s staged kidnapping to gain attention results in her expulsion. Lorelei maintains strict boundaries, even when managing Leo’s school conflicts in the U.S. At a UNESCO ceremony, she accepts a medal and presents Lowell with an application to serve as a special instructor. The power dynamic has completely reversed.
