The Rejected Mate

The Story

Elaine discovers the morning after a passionate night with Michael that his elder sister Cathy is pregnant, prompting him to choose her for marriage instead. The betrayal cuts deep as Elaine’s entire family turns against her, stripping her of her clan name and casting her out as an outcast. For three agonizing weeks, she endures the humiliation in silence, concealing her strength and biding her time. Fate is not finished with her, however. An outsider Alpha named Darius enters the picture, and the balance of power begins to shift. An unexpected chain of events draws the wolves back together, and as tensions reach a breaking point, Elaine’s reckoning comes within reach. Whether this turn of events brings salvation or destruction remains a tantalizing mystery.
