The Slacker Empress

The Story

Jiang Lan, a lazy modern employee, wakes up as a princess in the ancient Da Yuan dynasty. Far from the luxury she expects, she finds herself trapped in the Court of Imperial Entertainers. Assassins from the Panlong Society threaten her life, forcing her to lie about spying on Mo Junyao. This deception earns her a dose of poison. Mo Junyao, a hostage prince suffering from the Heart-Devouring Gu, believes Jiang Lan possesses the map to a secret treasury. He infiltrates the court to test her loyalty before dragging her into the harem as his Noble Lady. Jiang Lan dreams of gold and freedom alongside the sixteenth princess, but Mo Junyao refuses to let her go. As her poison reaches its limit, her situation grows increasingly desperate.
