Lia sells herself to Shawn, the Snake Lord, to save her mother from a serpentine transformation. She carries his nine eggs while he protects her, but he must depart for a heavenly trial. Upon her return home, the community brands Lia a demon and sentences her to execution. Shawn returns just in time to rescue her from the executioners. In the process, he discovers that Lia is the daughter of his long-lost benefactor.
