The Story

Anna Reed spends two years supporting her broke boyfriend Lucas Sterling through three part-time jobs. He has been pretending to be poor to use Anna as a stand-in for his lost first love Victoria Marsden. After the breakup, a distracted Anna nearly gets hit by a car driven by Julian Sterling, Lucas' twenty-four-year-old uncle and CEO of the Sterling Group. Seeking revenge, she rents the apartment next to Julian's and interns at his company. Daily interactions and shared meals spark genuine feelings that make Anna forget her original plan. When her initial motive comes to light, trust breaks down. Julian chooses Anna over his business empire and family inheritance. The couple builds their own company together, finding true love beyond the deception that started it all.
