The Story

Clara walks away from a gilded cage in New York. The daughter of real estate tycoons married Richard from Boston’s old money elite in a deal of convenience. Cold treatment from her husband and class prejudice from his inlaws erode her position at home. Her son Leo turns against her while Richard’s subordinate Victoria spreads discord. A doctored family photo finally triggers the confrontation. Clara renounces her wealthy privileges and exits the mansion. Richard, filled with remorse, begs for reconciliation.
