The Stolen Girl
The Story
Lena’s brilliant parents dismiss her average intellect, treating her as a permanent disappointment. At age six, they leave her completely alone, creating an opening for nanny Monica and her family to seize the house. The intruders subject Lena to years of abuse, yet her prejudiced parents ignore her repeated pleas for help. They place their trust solely in her gifted younger sister, Eva, effectively silencing the truth. Lena eventually encounters the Whites, who replace the cold neglect of her biological family with genuine warmth. She finally claims her own happiness, freed from the shadow of her parents’ expectations and the trauma of her stolen childhood.
