The Story

Brilliant designer Ella seals a two-year contract marriage with business tycoon Nicholas to clear her father's fifty million dollar debt. While they agree to maintain professional distance, Nicholas reveals his interest by annotating her old designs. He later confines her to their villa, banning her from his study, before a drunken incident leads to a confession of secret love that he dismisses the next morning. Ella discovers Nicholas plagiarizing her work, so she tears up their contract and launches her own studio. Despite his sabotage attempts and Andy's harassment, Nicholas rescues her from a knife attack, sustaining critical injuries in the process. In the hospital, Ella learns she is pregnant while Nicholas fights for his life. On his deathbed, he reveals his actions were driven by a desire to win her love.
