The Story

Edward Henderson conceals his wealth to prove that Irene Lawson loves him for who he is. He intends to reveal the truth on their wedding day, but Nancy, Irene's friend, steps in. Tempted by a test of love, Irene transforms the ceremony into a nightmare of absurd demands. Edward pleads for reason, yet Irene only listens to Nancy. The man he once knew has vanished, replaced by a stranger in his bride-to-be. Unable to bear the change, Edward cancels the wedding.
