The Wolf Who Keeps Pretending to Be a Dog

The Story

Emily, a veterinarian working alone, rescues a soaked and injured animal on a stormy night, only to discover it is the runaway sister of the wolf king. A dozen fierce wolves surround her clinic that evening, with the leading giant black wolf bowing in respect before retreating. The next day, a devastatingly handsome neighbor named Hugo moves in next door. He brings coffee, fixes pipes, and lifts heavy bags with ease, yet looks at Emily with nervous innocence. At night, the majestic black wolf leader appears through the window, which Emily names Chocolate. She forces the wolf into lemon bubble baths, fur massages, and gossip sessions about Hugo. The arrogant animal whines in disgust but wags its tail like a propeller under the covers. Emily remains unaware that the neighbor and the wolf are the same person. The three hundred year old Alpha wolf has no dignity before his fated mate and grows insanely jealous of his own animal form.
