Their Lies, My Revenge

The Story

Molly returns home with high hopes, dragging her purple suitcase into the family mansion. She steps through the red-framed glass door, expecting a warm reunion. Instead, her excitement vanishes instantly, replaced by shock and disbelief. Her older sister, Jennifer, stands in the foyer looking angry. Dressed in a burgundy slip dress, she radiates hostile resentment and offers no welcome. The family elder, dressed in a black suit and grey tie, leans on the vintage staircase nearby. His presence adds to the cold atmosphere. Molly’s bright anticipation turns to stunned disorientation. The lavish interior contrasts sharply with the bitter tension in the air. Jennifer’s hostile stance and the elder’s authoritative demeanor create a stark barrier. Molly realizes her return has been met with open hostility rather than familial affection. The sleek urban setting feels like a prison. Her mood plummets as she faces the unmasked resentment of those she came to see. The initial hope is crushed by the reality of the reception.
