The Story

Medusa awakens from her seal in an Appalachian cemetery, possessing the corpse of Grace, the girl who once gave her an apple. Driven by a need for vengeance against Grace’s husband, who brutally murdered her, Medusa unleashes her petrifying gaze to punish the abuser. She then takes on the responsibility of raising Grace’s child. Through these acts, she transforms into the Mother of Stone. Women across the entire valley come to secretly venerate her, recognizing her as a protective figure who has claimed a new life and purpose after her return to the world.
