They Underestimated Me: All Episodes

The Story

David hides his sharp intellect in a 1990s rural village, feigning ignorance to spare his brother Caleb and sister Nina the burden of education. He stays behind to support their parents on a pig farm, where his innate talent for animal husbandry earns him widespread respect from local farmers. Seeking his siblings in the city, he discovers they have built successful lives there. Instead of welcoming him, they mock his lack of ambition and criticize his management of the family home. They dismiss him as a failure, convinced he has no future beyond the countryside. Their contemptuous attitude towards his rural life and perceived lack of progress creates a deep rift, leaving him isolated by the very people he sacrificed for. The contrast between his humble reputation in the village and his siblings' urban disdain sets the stage for a dramatic confrontation.
