Through The Ashes of US: All Episodes

The Story

Elizabeth waits outside the emergency room for a day and a night, only to learn of her mother’s death. She calls her husband Adam, expecting support, but hears a woman moaning in the background. Adam’s voice erupts in anger, demanding one hundred million dollars. He accuses Elizabeth of blackmailing him like a robber and questions if his generosity over the past three years made her feel entitled to such threats. He dismisses her mother’s passing, stating she is not worth the sum, even if she has truly died. Before the call ends, the woman’s voice cuts through again, telling Adam she can wait no longer. The reality of the situation hits Elizabeth with full force as she listens to her husband’s cold indifference and the intimate sounds from another woman.
