The Story

Penny and Mason, childhood best friends, slowly discover their deepening love for one another. Their first night together ends in tragedy when Penny is diagnosed with cancer. To spare Mason the pain of losing her, she makes the difficult decision to push him away. Mason refuses to accept this separation and fights to remain by her side. Penny tries to drive him off by falsely claiming her heart belongs to someone else, but his devotion remains unshaken. While battling her illness, she also faces a school bully who attempts to steal Mason away. She struggles to keep her secret hidden while working toward her dream of performing Romeo and Juliet with him. The disease threatens to destroy her body and break the heart of the one she loves most.
