Two Broken Lights

The Story

Elise Marsh, an architecture student working as a server, secures a suspiciously cheap room at the grand Ridgewood House to avoid eviction. There, she clashes with Romy Volkov, a guarded heiress of a Russian oil dynasty who fled her toxic family after her mother’s political murder. Their initial bickering slowly transforms into deep understanding as they confront their respective traumas. Elise battles an abusive father, a manipulative girlfriend, and the struggle to save her sister Faye from domestic violence. Meanwhile, Romy sheds her emotional walls and becomes protective of Elise. They fall in love while supporting each other through shared pain. When evidence exposes Romy’s father’s crimes, they travel to Saint Petersburg to dismantle his corrupt empire. Romy rejects her tainted billions to return to Elise, who fights a high-stakes custody battle for Faye. The two women eventually gain safe guardianship for Faye. Honoring their late mothers, Elise and Romy launch an art foundation for at-risk youth, building a new life together.
